Singer Robin Thicke and his wife Actress Paula Patton are expecting their first child. Thicke has a new album called Sex Therapy coming out December 8th. Patton co-stars in the soon to be released Lee Daniels’ film Precious. I had a chance to see this movie, and it was awesome. This has to be one of the best movies I have ever seen, and I think it is Daniels’ best work. The movie stars newcomer Gabourey “Gabby” Sidibe (Ga-bo-ray Sa-dee-Bay) as the 16-year old girl who suffers unspeakable abuse. She is amazing. In real life, she is a 26-year old student, and Precious is her first acting gig. Daniels admits he found a gem in Sidibe. Mo’Nique is off the hook. She makes the character “Mary Jones” come alive. She’s brutal, honest and raw. There are so many great performances. Along with Mo’Nique, Paula Patton and “Gabby” Sidibe, there’s Sherri Shepherd, Mariah Carey (You won’t recognize her) and Lenny Kravitz. The movie opens nationwide November 13th.

PAPA JOE SEEKS ALLOWANCE FROM MJ ESTATE: Joe Jackson asking court for at least $15,000 a month from late son. Despite being left out of Michael Jackson’s 2002 will, his father Joe Jackson is seeking a stipend from the singer’s estate to help cover his $15,000 monthly expenses, according to court documents filed Friday. The request seeking an unspecified amount was filed by lawyer Brian Oxman, who said there was no apparent reason for the administrators of the estate to not seek an allowance for the Jackson family patriarch, reports the AP. The singer’s private trust currently calls for money to be paid to his mother, Katherine, his three young children, and various charities. A judge has approved more than $26,000 in payments to Katherine Jackson each month, and a $60,000 monthly payment for the care of the children. There was no mention of his father in the will. The latest court documents said Joe Jackson receives a $1,700 monthly Social Security payment and had relied on his son for support for many years. “He does not have a regular or steady source of income, and he was dependent upon the money provided by his son, Michael Jackson, through his wife, Katherine Jackson, for his support,” the filing stated. “It was quite surprising to learn of the request,” Howard Weitzman, an attorney for the administrators of Jackson’s estate, said in a statement. “Mr. Jackson’s petition will be considered as are all requests for money from Michael’s estate.”
According to the filing, Joe Jackson suffers from diabetes and had a stroke in 1998. He has been married to Katherine Jackson for 50 years, but he lists his home in Las Vegas. She lives at the family home in Encino, north of Los Angeles. The filings are inconsistent in several places, listing Joe Jackson’s age as 80 in one place and 81 in another. A declaration states his monthly expenses exceed $20,000 a month, but an itemized list only includes slightly more than $15,000. That list includes $1,200 a month on rent for his Las Vegas home; $2,500 to eat out; $1,000 on entertainment, gifts and vacations; $2,000 on air travel and $3,000 on hotels. A judge on Friday denied Joe Jackson’s petition for an expedited hearing on the matter. The next hearing is scheduled for early 2010, at which time the payments to Katherine Jackson may be re-evaluated.
In other Papa Joe news, the family patriarch is accused of harassing a former associate who is trying to prove Michael Jackson had an illegitimate son. TMZ has obtained a request for a restraining order filed last week against Joe and his son Randy Jackson in San Francisco County Superior Court. In the docs, a man named Ronnie Newt claims he was threatened by Joe’s henchmen after he approached Joe with information that he believed proved Michael is the father of a 12-year-old boy named Prince Michael Malachi Jet Jackson. According to the documents, Newt claims “I was told to stay out of the M.J. love child story. That some one could get kill [sic] for that kind of money.” Newt also warns that if he turns up dead in the near future, authorities should suspect foul play. He’s demanding the Jackson’s and their associates stay 50 yards away from him at all times. Joe Jackson denies Newt’s death threat allegations, telling TMZ, “I haven’t even seen this guy since the ’80s.”

10 THINGS THAT CAN AGGRAVATE YOU AT YOUR CHURCH:
1. People who over use the tambourine. Look! Everybody ain’t meant to beat it. When you don’t do it right, it is truly aggravating and a nuisance. KNOCK IT OFF! Be still and sing like everybody else during the slow songs.
2. People who fake the Spirit. Just because your friend felt the “touch” doesn’t mean you did too. If you start running around the church and you have to stop because you’re out of breath after going only half a lap around the pews, we know you haven’t been touched. SIT DOWN.
3. People who constantly holler something to the pastor all during the message. We don’t need you to comment after every sentence the preacher makes (giving a blow-by-blow commentary). We know the preacher is ‘preaching’ and we know the preacher is probably talking to you. SHUT UP so you can hear what the preacher has to say to you.
4. People who constantly go to the bathroom. Nobody has to use the bathroom four times during service and you’re clearly not on a date. If you have an incontinence problem, you should get in the prayer line and ask for healing. If not, SIT YOUR BEHIND DOWN.
5. People who can’t or won’t control their kids. How in the world can we concentrate on hearing the Word, if little Jay-Jay is running all up and down the aisle and going back and forth to the bathroom. The Bible says, if you “spare the rod, you’ll spoil the child,” You need to BEAT HIS TAIL.
6. People who take ‘Come AS YOU ARE’ to a whole new level. I can understand if you going through something. But if you got a fresh pair of Jordan ‘s on and a T-shirt, then you can certainly invest in some dress clothes and take your earrings and nose rings out. Since when is it OK for men to wear hats in the church and wear their pants to their ankles? GET IT TOGETHER!
7. People who bring food to church. If you brought your baby a little snack, but you’re eating all his cookies and crackers .. dropping crumbs everywhere then that’s a problem. Take those Cheezits, Oreos and little Rae-kwon outside. This is GOD’S HOUSE, NOT YOURS!!!
8. People who come to special church functions and criticize. If you’re standing in a corner gossiping about how you could’ve done a better job at something and you haven’t volunteered to help with anything and haven’t showed up to any invitations to join a ministry, I’m going to have to ask you to SHUT-UP !
9. People who obviously show they don’t like you. If you don’t care for a person too much for whatever reason, at least put up a decent front and ACT like you have some Christian love! When you come to church, you should look past people’s shortcomings. Don’t cut somebody up with your evil faces and smart remarks. CUT IT OUT!
10. Finally, parents who dress better than their kids. If you come in looking like an Ebony Fashion Fair model and little Sha-nay-nay is dragging behind you looking like a poster child for ‘Feed the Children,’ you are just DEAD WRONG! Give your child a “Just For Me”, wipe your child’s nose, comb your child’s hair (including the edges, and the ‘kitchen’), and buy them something decent to wear. Don’t come out of the house looking like a MILLION BUCKS while your kid is looking ‘homeless’. YOU KNOW YOU’RE WRONG!
Let the Church say, ‘AMEN!’
Will Michael Jordan’s Son Cost School Major Endorsement? Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus, attends the University of Central Florida (UCF). No problem there, right? Well, in a game Wednesday, young Jordan, being the brash fellow he apparently is, decided he wanted to wear his family shoe … Air Jordans, of course. The only problem with that is UCF is sponsored by Adidas! As you can imagine, Adidas was not thrilled. Michael Jordan and his son think they are slick. MJ’s son, Marcus, attends the University of Central Florida (UCF).
In a game Wednesday, young Jordan decides he wants to wear his family shoe … Air Jordans, of course. The only problem with that is UCF is sponsored by Adidas! And it’s going to lose several million dollars in endorsement money from the company. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a definite way to end a contract with one company and begin one with another. The school tried to say that young Jordan cleared it with them and that it was okay because they were in new negotiations with Adidas. Well, Adidas asked if someone could send them the memo because they don’t recall that conversation.
Adidas out at UCF after MJ’s son wears Jordans. It might be the most expensive pairs of Air Jordans ever worn. When Marcus Jordan took the floor Wednesday night for the University of Central Florida’s basketball team wearing Air Jordans, school sponsor Adidas made it clear to the university that its deal with the school – a five-year contract set to expire next June – is now done. “The University of Central Florida has chosen not to deliver on their contractual commitment to Adidas,” the company said in a statement given to CNBC. “As a result, we have chosen not to continue our relationship with them moving forward.”
Last month, UCF officials said that an Adidas official had agreed to allow Michael Jordan’s younger son Marcus to wear the Nike shoes named after his father even though the school had a deal with competitor Adidas. But Adidas officials, which were working on an extension on a deal with the athletic department, said that they never granted that exemption. Shoe and apparel contracts with schools normally guarantee that all student-athletes will wear what is made by the contracted shoe and apparel company unless the athlete, for some reason, can’t wear that specific shoe because of medical reasons and a custom shoe can’t be made. It is not clear how much the school could lose because of the breach of contract. It also is not apparent whether another brand, perhaps Nike or its Jordan brand, will step in to replace the deal, which covered all of the school’s sports. UCF officials say they have not received any official statement from Adidas on the status of the school’s contract.
OPINION OR DISCRIMINATION: Sales clerk fired over ‘gay marriage’ comment. A Massachusetts man said he was wrongfully fired for voicing his opinion about gay marriage. But his employer, Brookstone at Logan International Airport in Boston, said the employee violated the company’s tolerance policy and that’s why he was fired. According to World Net Daily, Peter Vadala said it all started after his female manager told him she was getting married. “At the start of the day, she told me she was getting married. I told her ‘Congratulations,’ and asked, ‘Where’s he taking you on your honeymoon?’” Vadala said in an interview. “She replied that her partner was a ‘she,’” he continued, “So I immediately tried to change the subject. “I think she knew I was uncomfortable talking about it,” he continued. “But, she brought it up to me three more times during the day. “After the fourth time she told me about her plan to marry her partner, I told her, ‘I think homosexuality is bad stuff,’” Vadala said. “That’s what I said. I wasn’t rude about it and I didn’t act disrespectfully to her,” he said. “All the woman said to me as she left the store was, ‘Human Resources, buddy. You keep your opinions to yourself!’” Gay marriage is legal in Massachusetts and is protected by law. Still Vadala said he should be entitled to his own opinion. The company confirms Vadala was fired a few days later by letter. The letter accused Vadala of “harassment” and described his comments as “inappropriate and unprofessional.” Further, the letter charged, he was “imposing” his beliefs upon others.

As a guest on The Tonight Show in February 2007, he spoke about the importance of adopting from foster care, stating “I got my kids right here, I didn’t have to go to Africa to do it. Amazingly enough, there are needy kids right down the street.”
He has recently been seen in Ludacris’ “One More Drink” music video.
