Rant – Radio Show Hosts

Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of listening to a variety of radio shows on the air. I must say these are my observations and comments.

1. Hannity – Bigot, egotistical, likes to be the limelight. Goes by half truths, not good at investigating
the whole truth. Nor do you apologize for misquotes, and misinformation.

2. Bill O’Riley – Bigot, mental issues of unfair commentaries. Acts like a cartoon, does not like to be challenge when he is wrong, or accept responsibility for misstatements. Thinks he knows it all. Talk about a curtain, even Ray Charles could see that bullshyt.

3. Michael Savage – Egotistical blow hard. Rude, rants, not good as a radio host. Another one thinks he knows it all, and his word is always right – give me a break. At one point he was being sued and had on air folks calling with money to help with his lawyers and court fees. (the name Savage suits you!)

4. Michael Medved – Get a life outside of radio. You sir are a educated fool at best. Folks pacify you because they feel sorry for you, not because you are that good. Why do you think a lot of Authors will not discussed there books on air with you, because you are such a irritation. So your Jewish and……………..so am I now what? Learn to be honest in your critiques, and not add your flavor of injustice. Some folks are dealing with holocaust everyday of there lives call “survival”. Get a grip you inept fool.

5. Rush- Yes please rush to the nearest door and never come back. You sir are a bigot, racist, uniformed,
don’t care to know the truth commentator. You represent who? The Republicans want you to shut the hell up. The Democrats simply ignore your ignorance, after all ignorance is bliss as it concerns you. Again, money talks and bullshyt walks. You are one of the greatest on air bullshyter there is. You are most famous for throwing a rock and hiding both of your hands. Yet the truth always has a way of rearing his head when it comes to you and your character. Get off the train love, you have went waaaaay past your stop.

6. Laura Ingram – Somebody get me a bag, I’m throwing up in my own mouth.

and that is my commentary on rants for today, thxs.

Republicans kiss my grits, with red lipstick!

Only 12 members of Congress voted to approve health benefits for “1st Responders” to 911 Twin Towers.
Yes the Democrats overwhelmingly passed it. It has been years since 911 and the folks that involved
their lives to save whomever are now greatly disturbed with health concerns – OK who knew. What the
outcome effects would be. These folks Fire Dept, Police Dept, Medics put there lives on the line to help.
And this is how Congress rewards them for a job well done to the best of their ability – well damn Congress.
And you wonder why – folks are voting for anybody other than the incumbent to stand for there City,
or State reps. How dare you put these folks on the back burner. Do you have no shame or guilt what you
are doing to these folks. Understandably the economics in this country are steep, why do you think that
President Obama wanted the Health Care Reform bill past. Not just for future clients, but present ones in
need as well. Congress when are you going to get off your azz and stop throwing a rock and then hiding
your hand. You took your offices with a “vow” to pledge and help your constituents of your state and
others. Do not turn a blind eye to the needs of Americans, families are involved here and future generations.
Have you thought about what your legacy would be when you depart your office? Was it to help or hinder
the causes of citizens of the USA? Or is it money talks and bullshyt walks Congressmen Republicans.

Rangel to Face Ethics Trial; Plea Deal Too Late

House investigators today officially accused veteran New York Rep. Charles Rangel of 13 violations of congressional ethics standards, throwing a cloud over his political career and putting Democrats in a pickle throughout fall elections.

The allegations – which include failure to report rental income from vacation property in the Dominican Republic and to report more than $600,000 in assets on his congressional financial disclosure statements – came as lawyers for Rangel and the House ethics committee worked on a plea deal.

One was reached, sources tell the Associated Press, but Republicans indicated it was too late.

The deal between the lawyers will have little meaning if the committee members don’t approve it, and Republicans said at the proceeding they were insisting on going forward with a trial. The panel is evenly divided between Democrats and Republicans.

“Mr. Rangel was given multiple opportunities to settle this matter. Instead, he chose to move forward to the public trial phase,” said Rep. Jo Bonner of Alabama, the senior Republican on the ethics panel

Many Democrats had urged Rangel to settle the case to avoid the prospect of televised hearings right before November congressional elections that will determine which party controls Congress next year.

However, as Friday’s public airing of the charges drew nearer, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi seem resigned to the case proceeding.

“The chips will have to fall where they may politically,” she told reporters. Pursuing ethics cases against House members is “a serious responsibility that we have,” she said.

Tribute to Shirely Sherrod

I pay tribute to my dear sister and fellow freedom fighter Shirley Sherrod, who maintained her dignity and intergrity in the face of mendacity and adversity. We have another example of vicious attacks in vitriolic assaults on someone who is a real force for good in the world. We saw this with brother Van Jones, and now we see it again. But this time, truth and goodness triumphed. I also salute, my dear white brother and sister Rodger and Eloise Spooner, the white farmers who spoke up and told the truth about the decency and courage of Shirley Sherrod.

Thank you, Dr. Cornell West

Shirley Sherrod Getting Threatening Calls, E-Mail

Media Matters is reporting that former Department of Agriculture official Shirley Sherrod said she has been receiving threatening calls and e-mail since a misleading video clip of her posted by Andrew Breitbart went viral.

“I am getting hate calls and e-mails at this point,” Sherrod said in an interview today with the liberal blog. “I got one call last night at my house at 12:30 a.m. that said, ‘you lost your job, good for you’ and ‘b****’ There are people out there who will believe that I am a racist person, even though the story is getting out there.”

“I got crank calls right away. Someone sent me an e-mail and link and said, ‘shame on you’ and other stuff. I was sitting in a meeting, and I was really upset,” she said. “I texted back that they were so wrong and that they need to know the message, and they got it wrong.”

Sherrod was fired by the Department of Agriculture and denounced by the NAACP over the video clip which appears to show her suggesting that she does not provide her “full force” in aiding white farmers. But a full video posted Tuesday night by an embarrassed NAACP clearly shows that Sherrod’s comments were taken out of context and edited to make it seem she was saying something she wasn’t.

Sherrod blamed Breitbart and Fox News for pushing the story that ended in her firing.

“The news media should tell it like it is and not the way they want it to be,” she said. “I think it is race. You think we have come a long way in terms of race relations in this country, but we keep going backwards.”

NAACP & TEA PARTY – kiss my grits!!!

The NAACP has retracted its original statement condemning comments made by a former Agriculture Department official who resigned after a video clip surfaced of her discussing a white farmer.

The NAACP said in a statement Tuesday that it was “snookered by Fox News” and conservative website publisher Andrew Breitbart.

“Having reviewed the full tape by Shirley Sherrod, who is the woman who was fired by the Department of Agriculture, and most importantly heard the testimony of the white farmers mentioned in this story, we now believe that the organization that edited the documents did so with the intention of deceiving millions of Americans,” the statement from NAACP President Benjamin Jealous said.

Jealous later posted on his Twitter account that he “Spoke to Ms. Sherrod earlier today and personally apologized. Plan to meet with her face-to-face the next time I’m in Georgia.”

The organization also urged Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to reconsider Sherrod’s resignation from her post as the department’s director of rural development for Georgia.

Breitbart originally posted the video, which was quickly picked up by Fox News.

In the video, Sherrod can be heard telling an audience at a March 27, 2010, appearance before a local chapter of the NAACP that she had not given a white farmer “the full force of what I could do” to help him save the family farm.

Conservative media outlets tied the video to the NAACP’s recent resolution calling on the Tea Party movement to repudiate racist elements within it that have displayed such items as images of President Obama with a bone through his nose and the White House with a lawn full of watermelons. The controversy has led one Tea Party group to oust another because of a blog posting by the second group’s leader.

Tea Party Express leader Mark Williams posted on his blog a faux letter from Jealous to President Abraham Lincoln in which Williams ridicules the organization’s use of “colored” in its historic name and uses multiple stereotypes to bolster his point. The National Tea Party Foundation expelled Williams’ organization from its coalition as a result.

Breitbart told CNN’s “John King USA” on Tuesday that releasing the video was “not about Shirley Sherrod.”

“This was about the NAACP attacking the Tea Party, and this is showing racism at an NAACP event,” he said. “I did not ask for Shirley Sherrod to be fired.”

Sherrod defended herself in a number of interviews Tuesday, saying her controversial comments were taken out of context. She had, she said, used a personal experience from nearly a quarter century ago in which she confronted her own racism and learned to move beyond it.

She insisted she “went all out” to help the man keep his farm and said she resigned only under pressure from the Obama administration, telling CNN she received four phone calls Monday telling her the White House wanted her to step down.

“They asked me to resign, and in fact they harassed me as I was driving back to the state office from West Point, Georgia, yesterday,” she said. The last call “asked me to pull to the side of the road and do it [resign],” she said.

Whoopi Goldberg

In more Whoopi news, Goldberg has been catching a lot of flak for talking about her friendship with Mel Gibson saying she believes he’s not a racist. The Oscar winning actor has been in the headlines with his nasty breakup with his Russian girlfriend/ babymomma Oksana Grigorieva. She recorded conversations of him spewing hatred towards everyone. The violent outbursts were shocking and disheartening. Has one of America’s favorite movie stars gone mad? Where is Danny Glover, his Lethal Weapon co-star? What does he think of this? Gibson has certainly ruined his career with his hate filled rants and reports of beating his babymomma.

Oprah Bio by Kitty Kelley

The Oprah Winfrey Bio by Kitty Kelley is being made into movie. The book was not the blockbuster that publishers thought it would be. So, it comes as a surprise that a movie is being made based on the book.

Oprah

Are people starting to disconnect with Oprah? Her show is in reruns at the moment, but the ratings are worse than last year. Analysts are saying people know her talk show is ending in September 2011, so they are starting to disconnect by finding other alternatives at that time slot.

Cancel your credit cards before you die…..

Now some people are really stupid!!!!
Be sure and cancel your credit cards before you die.
This is so priceless, and so, so easy to see happening, customer service being what it is today.
A lady died this past January, and Citibank billed her for February and March for their annual service charges on her credit card, and added late fees and interest on the monthly charge. The balance had been $0.00 when she died, but now somewhere around $60.00. A family member placed a call to Citibank.

Here is the exchange :
Family Member: ‘I am calling to tell you she died back in January.’
Citibank: ‘The account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.’
Family Member: ‘Maybe, you should turn it over to collections.’
Citibank: ‘Since it is two months past due, it already has been’
Family Member: So, what will they do when they find out she is dead?’
Citibank: ‘Either report her account to frauds division or report her to the credit bureau, maybe both!’
Family Member: ‘Do you think God will be mad at her?’
Citibank: ‘Excuse me?’
Family Member: ‘Did you just get what I was telling you – the part about her being dead?’
Citibank: ‘Sir, you’ll have to speak to my supervisor.’

Supervisor gets on the phone:
Family Member: ‘I’m calling to tell you, she died back in January with a $0 balance.’
Citibank: ‘The account was never closed and late fees and charges still apply.’
Family Member: ‘You mean you want to collect from her estate?’
Citibank: (Stammer) ‘Are you her lawyer?’
Family Member: ‘No, I’m her great nephew.’ (Lawyer info was given)
Citibank: ‘Could you fax us a certificate of death?’
Family Member: ‘Sure.’ (Fax number was given )

After they get the fax :
Citibank: ‘Our system just isn’t setup for death. I don’t know what more I can do to help.’
Family Member: ‘Well, if you figure it out, great! If not, you could just keep billing her. She won’t care.’
Citibank: ‘Well, the late fees and charges will still apply.’
(What is wrong with these people?!?)
Family Member: ‘Would you like her new billing address?’
Citibank: ‘That might help..’
Family Member: ‘Odessa Memorial Cemetery, Highway 129, Plot Number 69.’
Citibank: ‘Sir, that’s a cemetery!’
Family Member: ‘And what do you do with dead people on your planet???’
