Yes I’m complaining about the entertainment business. What are you trying to feed the public? Stop insulting our intelligence with no talent folks. Here we are Kim K now getting a divorce. She has no talent just pretty looks, which will take you how far darling. First of all these “K” girls rode in on their Fathers coat tails for fame. There Dad was not even the primary in the OJ case, Johnnny Cochran was.
Seriously how far do you have to gap your legs to become famous in Gollywood. Also I’m sick and tired of all the Reality Shows. Especially all the “Housewifes of ???” shows. Really? Why are you even married or better yet friends not equal to yourself. Trust me hear when I tell you this, it is not all reality base, a lot of the interaction we see is stage, to keep the viewers tuned in.
I now truly understand why Actors/Actress that have paid dues in the industry to perfect there craft, get mad when – so called rappers, fly by nights, no talents come along and make millions off talentless, folks that should have kept there days jobs. Everybody can not act, just like everybody can not sing.
Years ago I told my youngest daughter that Janet Jackson can not sing, her voice is engineer with the mike. Yet she has a smokey sexy speaking voice. Man, my daughter was psst with me. I told her when you see an artist come on stage with a mike, with no backup band, singers, or engineered panel board, that is a true talented individual. Not many young folks can sing on a raw mike and sound very good.
I also told her Beyonce can not act, stick to singing her day job, lol lol. At least she agreed with me on that illustration. Folks work hard in a very competative industry, to reach a goal of Oscar, Grammy, Tony or Emmy awards. And then again some folks never get the credit they deserve.
Movie industry – to you stop making movies that insult our intelligence, this is 2011, we have grown up since the 70′s and 80′s. Some movies are for children and I find them more enjoying then the adult dramas, or comedies, they actually make sense.
CBS is set to announce that conservative comic Sheryl Underwood and Kardashian mom Kris Jenner will serve as co-hosts of the CBS daytime show “The Talk,” reports Deadline.com. Underwood, a former staple on the Tom Joyner Morning Show and the Jamie Foxx channel for Sirius XM satellite radio, is now a weekly contributor on radio’s Steve Harvey Mornin g Show. A former member of the U.S. Armed Forces, Underwood likes to call herself “a sexually progressive God-fearing black Republican.” This latest move by “Talk” producers follows months of apparent behind-the-scenes drama that culminated in the reported exit of co-hosts Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini. Their options were not renewed. Sharon Osbourne, who said she wanted to scale back her appearances on the show, will return this fall, but only for six non-consecutive weeks. Sara Gilbert, one of the creators of the show, and Les Moonves’ wife Julie Chen are still on board in front of the camera. Chen, the wife of Moonves and host of CBS’ “Big Brother,” is rumored to have been too overbearing behind the scenes, prompting tension between the ladies. Below are just some of the “Chenbot” rumors that have surfaced since “The Talk” began:
From Zap2it.com (July 19, 2011): “Sara may be executive producer, but Julie is definitely the Queen B,” says one mole. “The reason [former executive producer] Susan Winston was fired following only two weeks on the job was because she changed something during a segment that made a guest uncomfortable,” says the insider. Allegedly, when Chen informed her husband, Les Moonves, president and chief executive officer of CBS Corporation, of the incident he reportedly watched the segment in question and had Winston fired on the spot. Prior to that development, I reported last January that Barbara Bloom was relieved of her duties as Senior Vice-President of Daytime following alleged run-ins with Chen.
From New York post’s Page Six (Aug 16, 2011): Julie Chen’s “queen bee attitude” is forcing the ladies of CBS’s “The Talk” to flee the daytime gab-fest after just one season. Sources say fed-up Leah Remini plans to quit on the heels of Sharon Osbourne’s bombshell that she’s taking a break. Co-host Holly Robinson Peete last week said she will not return for Season 2. The last straw for Osbourne and Remini was Chen’s order, passed down from her master-of- the-universe husband, CBS President Les Moonves, following their South of France break, that the women were not allowed to discuss the Casey Anthony case without her because she’s the only host with journalistic credentials. “[Julie] said, ‘My husband feels strongly that you should not be talking about news [without me], you are not news people,’ ” our source told us. “Sharon just said, ‘I don’t know about this.’ She’d had enough. ” Despite the friction, one program insider called Chen “the glue that holds the show together” and firmly placed the blame on Remini. “[Remini] was a disruptive force,” the source said. “She had a huge morale problem,” adding that Remini often brought her mother on set, who refused to follow studio rules. “Her mother never parked in her assigned space,” the insider said. “She was told not to park in the lot anymore. ” Two executive producers have abandoned the show since it began last fall. But co-host Sara Gilbert is slated to return. A CBS spokesperson told us, “ ‘The Talk’ just finished a strong first season . . . The producers are currently working on a creative game plan for Season 2, which launches on Sept. 6.” Osbourne’s rep said she was “not reachable .” Remini’s agent said, “I don’t believe anyone’s option has been picked up. Her mom does go to the show every day as does Sara’s mom and Holly’s mom.” He declined to comment about the parking-lot matter because Remini couldn’t be reached by deadline.
Squeezed between a Ben & Jerry’s cart and a booth selling rolling papers, two naturopathic doctors worked briskly through a line of patients.
The patients — old and young, stooped and tattooed — had been funneled to the doctors’ white tent by a blizzard of fliers handed out at the entrance of Seattle’s Hempfest, the three-day festival of all things marijuana.
The ads, by a clinic called 4Evergreen Group, offered authorization to use medical marijuana for one year for $150 if the patient had medical records; $200 with no medical records.
I was one of the first in line Friday, no medical records in hand but curious about how the process worked. After watching a short instructional video and meeting with a naturopath for 11 minutes, I joined the uncounted but growing number of Washingtonians able to legally posses 1-½ pounds of cannabis and 15 plants.
Throughout the 13-year history of the state medical-marijuana law, the issue of how patients get authorized has been overshadowed by battles between advocates and law enforcement over rules for possession.
But the Legislature’s 2010 expansion in the type of medical professionals able to authorize marijuana, and the emergence of specialty authorization clinics, helped stoke a boom in the medical-cannabis industry. That pushes the issue of authorizations to more prominence, none more visible than 4Evergreen’s Hempfest tent.
The authorization process appears to largely comply with state law, even if I might not be the type of patient voters had in mind when they passed the law in 1998.
“The intent of the law is to treat people with terrible, serious, even life-threatening conditions that may be helped with medical marijuana,” said Donn Moyer, a spokesman for the Department of Health. “Ask yourself, is that what’s happening out there?”
