POLICE KILL MAURICE CLEMMONS, Seattle, WA.

POLICE KILL MAURICE CLEMMONS: He was suspected of slaying four officers. The man suspected of gunning down four police officers in a suburban coffee shop was shot and killed by Seattle police early Tuesday, a sheriff’s spokesman said. Maurice Clemmons was shot to death in a working-class south Seattle neighborhood after police tracked him down using possible hiding spots supplied by Pierce County investigators, said Ed Troyer, a spokesman for the county sheriff. Authorities suspect Clemmons, 37, of killing the four Lakewood officers at a coffee shop Sunday morning in Parkland, a Tacoma suburb about 35 miles south of Seattle. Police said they aren’t sure what prompted Clemmons to shoot the officers as they did paperwork on their laptops. Clemmons was described as increasingly erratic in the past few months and had been arrested earlier this year on charges that he punched a sheriff’s deputy in the face. At the scene, a couple of dozen police officers milled around, shaking hands and patting each other on the back after one of the largest manhunts in the region’s history. Clemmons had stayed on the run for nearly two days with help from a network of friends and family who gave him places to stay, medical aid, rides and money, police said. On Monday, officers detained a sister of Clemmons who they think treated the 37-year-old suspect’s gunshot wound. “We believe she drove him up to Seattle and bandaged him up,” Troyer said.

“HIT” on Student, say what?

Teacher Orders ‘Hit’ On Student. What in the hell is goin’ on in the ATL? Are the high school kids down there that gangsta? If you had to judge from this incident in suburban Atlanta, you would think that the kids are completely out of control. But, maybe it’s a certain teacher that’s a tad bonkers! Who knows? Right now, said teacher, Mr. Randolph Forde, is just coming out of jail behind what appears to be inappropriate behavior, but not a real threat. According to CNN, the incident in question occurred Oct. 9, when Mr. Forde reportedly grabbed a kid off the school bus and asked him if he would “wack” another student for him (loosely translated). The student wanted to know who it was and Forde allegedly wrote the boy’s name down on a piece of paper and held it up for him. The student/victim is 16 and took the threat very seriously and his family has hired an attorney.

Lou Dobbs is gone, thank you!

Nov. 12, 2009

Dear Friend,

Last night, CNN anchor Lou Dobbs announced his departure from the network. As you know, we’ve been highly critical of Dobbs because he has used his platform to spread myths and propaganda — poisoning the debate over immigration reform and inciting fear and hate against Latinos.

The SPLC was one of the first groups to bring public attention to Dobbs’ use of false information provided by racist hate groups.

With your support, we exposed his wildly inaccurate reporting about immigrants — such as his insistence that immigrants had brought thousands of new cases of leprosy to the United States during a recent three-year period.

And we condemned his reliance on the Federation for American Immigration Reform as an authority on immigration issues. This is an organization we have named a hate group with longtime ties to white supremacists.

This past July, we called on CNN executives to fire Dobbs after he relentlessly promoted the racist and utterly baseless idea that President Obama is not a native-born American citizen. Soon thereafter, a number of other organizations joined our call.

Immigration reform is an important and complex issue, one that should be debated honestly. We hope that Dobbs’ resignation sends a message to other commentators that the airwaves shouldn’t be used to vent extremist rhetoric and fan the flames of hate. Doing so has serious and sometimes violent consequences, as illustrated by the rise in hate crimes against Latinos and the unprecedented number of threats against Obama.

We are committed to exposing those who disseminate misinformation that foments hate. Together, we took a stand, and our actions made a difference. Thank you for everything you do to combat bigotry and intolerance.

Thank you for your support,

Feed The Children, Founder Fired!

CHARITY IN TURMOIL: Founder fired from the company he started decades ago. The founder of Feed the Children international charity has been fired from the organization he started 30 years ago. The board of directors voted last Friday to remove Jones as president “effective immediately,” according to The Oklahoman. The directors which records show paid Jones $230,323 a year didn’t give a reason for the decision, but the firing came after Jones admitted to law enforcement that he authorized wire taps in three executives’ offices last April. “There’s going to be thousands of children going hungry this Christmas because of what they did,” Jones, 69, told The Oklahoman, adding that “This is the best two months of the year to raise money, and we’re down like everybody else is down. There’s more hungry children than ever, and they fire me. I was in such shock.” Jones said he will sue to try to get his job back. Jones has been the face of the Oklahoma City-based Christian relief organization. It reports collecting more than $1 billion in donations a year. He and his wife, Frances, were the main fundraisers, making repeated, often heart-wrenching televised pleas for money to help starving children in Africa and elsewhere. The charity has become widely known through the commercials and from celebrities’ support. His wife, Frances, was not fired. Leadership turmoil Jones has been in a legal dispute with most of the charity’s board and top executives over who is really in charge there. A lawsuit about the power struggle was settled in August when Jones agreed to give up operational control.

Opinion or Discrimination

OPINION OR DISCRIMINATION: Sales clerk fired over ‘gay marriage’ comment. A Massachusetts man said he was wrongfully fired for voicing his opinion about gay marriage. But his employer, Brookstone at Logan International Airport in Boston, said the employee violated the company’s tolerance policy and that’s why he was fired. According to World Net Daily, Peter Vadala said it all started after his female manager told him she was getting married. “At the start of the day, she told me she was getting married. I told her ‘Congratulations,’ and asked, ‘Where’s he taking you on your honeymoon?’” Vadala said in an interview. “She replied that her partner was a ‘she,’” he continued, “So I immediately tried to change the subject. “I think she knew I was uncomfortable talking about it,” he continued. “But, she brought it up to me three more times during the day. “After the fourth time she told me about her plan to marry her partner, I told her, ‘I think homosexuality is bad stuff,’” Vadala said. “That’s what I said. I wasn’t rude about it and I didn’t act disrespectfully to her,” he said. “All the woman said to me as she left the store was, ‘Human Resources, buddy. You keep your opinions to yourself!’” Gay marriage is legal in Massachusetts and is protected by law. Still Vadala said he should be entitled to his own opinion. The company confirms Vadala was fired a few days later by letter. The letter accused Vadala of “harassment” and described his comments as “inappropriate and unprofessional.” Further, the letter charged, he was “imposing” his beliefs upon others.

SCIENTOLOGY A FRAUD?

SCIENTOLOGY A FRAUD?: Court ruling and celebrity defection bad PR. A French court’s decision to convict The Church of Scientology of fraud has some high profile members separating themselves from the church. The conviction and the resignation of Oscar-winning filmmaker Paul Haggis from the church over a litany of concerns was aired publicly last week and has rocked the church’s foundation. On one hand, it was just another bad press week for the embattled institution founded in 1953 by the late science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard. But for former Scientologists and scholars of the movement, the setbacks pose a greater challenge coming on the heels of defections of top-level Scientologists. “With any organization, the loss of a substantial number of your most experienced people and chaos at the upper levels is problematic,” David Bromley told USA Today. Bromley is a Virginia Commonwealth University professor who studies new religious movements and has written on Scientology. “There are PR implications, the possibility of legal actions … That dwarfs the other things.” Despite a recent survey showing Scientology membership on the decline, church spokesman Tommy Davis said Scientology is flourishing, with more than 8,000 Scientology churches, missions and groups in 160-plus nations. He said assets and property holdings have doubled over the past five years, including a new church in Rome and another opening this weekend in Washington, D.C. “From our perspective, things are going pretty great,” Davis said. “In fact, that’s downplaying it. Actually, what’s happening with the church right now is frankly spectacular. To the degree there are these various things happening, it really is a lot of noise.” Celebrities such as Tom Cruise, John Travolta and Kirstie Alley are known members of the religious sect.

Evolution Nonsense

Every time I hear about we developed from apes to man, make me want to puke! Please the
Gorillas, Apes, and Monkeys are still here, we came from what? Animals are animals and
human beings are humans. A seed was planted many eons ago, and out of this became the
human race. What man can not understand he has to apply some handle to it, so he thinks
he understands. I don’t believe we have been the only beings on this planet. There was
life prior to our existence and not just plant and animals. Other species unknown to us but
yet did exist. The universe explains this with infinity of life out there, that scientist can’t.
I believe we are one of the most primitive planets in our universe. Animals don’t have wants
or needs they exist knowing that everything will be all right. Some how they will survive.

We of the so-called intelligent species on earth, try everyday to eliminate our kind in all kinds
of ways, mentally, physically, and spiritually. And you think we are not primitive. We live in
constant, no time constraints daily evolution of creation non-stop. Everyday of our lives we
are creating our next experience. This is evolution of change, how we truly evolve.

Intimate Communications

I posed a question to the man I’m dating at the present time. “What do you enjoy sexually? What
do you enjoy doing with a woman sexually” It helps to know what truly satisfy’s you? His response
knock me off my feet. He stated very seriously “no one has ever asked me that”. Say what?
This man is 51yr old professional. Do you mean to tell me, you have never communicated your enjoy-
ment of sex with your partner, unbelieveable. I know I’m a evolved woman, but I thought this was
a common occurance to my surprise it is not. I decided to take a survey of friends if they ever discuss
there sexual pleasures with there partners, answers “not really”, kinda of go along to get along.

Listen communication and understanding are 2 of the profound concepts humans can derive, and survive.
How many woman admit truthfully to having an orgasim, or just lieing to please the man. How many
men when having an orgasim are thinking about the person they are with when that happens.

Maybe the root answer to this lies in “home” communication prior to an adult. I understand some
parents don’t speak about sexual relationships with there children. So be it when you become an
adult you probably won’t talk then either. And so you become blinded the first time you get a cookie.
You must people communicate your desires to one another, how else will you know if you are even
compatible sexually. Just because you have a penis and vagina doesn’t make it disneyland, or the
pomise land.
