Did I Do That? Actor Jaleel White is getting more than he bargained for with his recent stint on Dancing With The Stars. White, 35, is best known for his role as “Steve Urkel” on Family Matters. White is downplaying the drama on the Dancing With The Stars set after word leaked out that was feuding with his dance partner Kym Johnson. Sources say he made her cry and called her an idiot. White also reportedly got into a shouting match with the show’s producers when they questioned him about his behavior. Last week, White’s babymomma, Bridget Hardy, came forward with claims that he called her w**te trash, beat and cheated on her. White says his babymomma is looking for publicity and is jealous of his success. He says no charges have ever been filed, and he has never been questioned by police. White also says he pays his child support. So far, White has been performing well on the show, but bad publicity could hurt him. Sources on the show are being quiet about the controversy.

Question: What is crime like in your city or county?
Thanks for your participation.
Why he is a local hero: Osborne is working to bring people of different faiths together to solve many of today’s problems.
The way Pastor Osborne sees it, people of different faiths waste too much time arguing about things that aren’t important while issues, such as drug addiction and youth gang violence, go unaddressed.
“There are so many faiths divided in the community. Everyone thinks they are going to heaven and that the other person is wrong. It breaks my heart because for years I have been in the street teaching the gospel of unity. I’m a Christian. I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God, but everyone doesn’t think like me. The question is what can we do to help the children,” says Osborne.
Osborne has tackled this issue by entering into a variety of interfaith efforts, including the Newark Interfaith Coalition for Hope and Peace. The group supports other grassroots organizations seeking to stem the tide of violence in and around Newark. The most dramatic of Osborne’s efforts, though, may be that Muslims, Christians, and Jehovah Witnesses alike attend Bethel Family and Youth Resource Center, his Newark, N.J., church.
It started a few years ago when Osborne ran an intensive life skills program that helped people dealing with addiction issues. Afterward, many of his attendees, who are of various faiths, began showing up at his church, because they felt a sense of togetherness at Osborne’s church.
During the services, Christians say, “Hallelujah,” and the Muslims say, “Alluh Akbar.” Muslims teach Christians Arabic, and there is an overall greater understanding and respect of one another’s faith. And that’s what is needed to challenge many of the social problems plaguing America today, says Osborne.
“Let us pastors and imams go out into the street at 2 a.m., where people are shooting one another. Let’s create employment. Let’s work together. I long for pastors and imams to unite and say, ‘We don’t have same theology, but let’s do what we have to do,’” says Osborne.
The move hasn’t come without criticism. Some think what Osborne’s doing is heretical, but Osborne sees proof of the opposite in the lives of the changed men and women of different faiths who step in to his church every week. It appears that many critics are actually fearful of what can be accomplished when people of different faiths come together around common goals.
“The only way to do this is to try and bring people together, where a Jewish can go to a masjid, a Muslim can go to a church, and a Christian can go to a synagogue,” said Osborne.

The stepmother and grandmother of a 9-year-old Alabama girl, who died after she was forced to run for 3 hours as punishment, face murder charges. WVTM-TV reports.
Severely dehydrated, the girl had a seizure and died days later. Now, her grandmother and stepmother, who police say meted out the punishment, were taken to jail Wednesday and face murder charges.
Witnesses told deputies Savannah was told to run and not allowed to stop for three hours on Friday, an Etowah County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman said. The girl’s stepmother, 27-year-old Jessica Mae Hardin, called police at 6:45 p.m., telling them Savannah was having a seizure and was unresponsive.
Simpson said he saw a little girl running at around 4 p.m., but didn’t see anybody chasing or coercing her.
“I saw her running down there, that’s what I told the detectives,” Simpson said from his home on a hill overlooking the Hardins. “But I don’t see how that would kill her.”
‘Ran her until she dropped’
Natalie Barton, Etowah County, Alabama Public Information Officer, told Reuters that a call placed to a 911 emergency operator reported an unresponsive child having seizures.
“It appears they ran her until she dropped,” Barton added.
However, authorities were still trying to determine whether Savannah was forced to run by physical coercion or by verbal commands. Deputies were told the girl was made to run after lying to her grandmother, 46-year-old Joyce Hardin Garrard, about having eaten the candy, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Natalie Barton said.
Savannah died Monday at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. The sheriff’s release said an autopsy report showed the girl was extremely dehydrated and had a very low sodium level. A state pathologist ruled it a homicide.
The sheriff’s office received calls from concerned citizens who witnessed the girl running. An official with the local volunteer fire department also said rescuers thought something seemed odd when they responded to a call about the child.
“One of the ones who were down there said he didn’t feel like everything was right,” said Ruby Ward, vice president of the Mountainboro Volunteer Fire Department.
Joyce Hardin Garrard, 46, left, and Jessica Mae Hardin, 27, have been charged with murder.
Garrard and Jessica Mae Hardin were being held in the Etowah County Detention Center, each on a $500,000 cash bond.
Savannah was a third-grader at Carlisle Elementary School. Superintendent Alan Cosby said her desk had been turned into a makeshift memorial where her classmates could leave notes and mementos. He said counselors and social workers were made available for students.
“This is obviously a very tragic, devastating, heartbreaking situation,” Cosby said. “Nothing like this has ever happened before.”

Pro wrestler-turned-actor told Moviefone during a recent interview that he has definite plans to enter politics at some point, and that his ambitions could reach all the way to the White House.
“Right now the best way that I can impact the world is through entertainment. One day, and that day will come, I can impact the world through politics,” Johnson — whose latest film, “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island,” opens Friday — tells the site. “The great news is that I am American, therefore I can become President.”
Johnson would follow a path set by fellow former pro wrestler Jesse Ventura, who served as the governor of Minnesota.
The Rock got some practice performing presidential duties, playing President Barack Obama on “Saturday Night Live.”

Tom Cruise’s son Connor has been dropped by his DJ agent following a spat over a Super Bowl text judged to be homophobic.
The 17-year-old DJ was not happy that the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots. His agent, Todd Krim, teased Cruise with a tweet after the game, writing, “Sorry @TheConnorCruise maybe next year!!!”
Apparently, it was too soon to be talking trash to the die-hard Pats fan. According to an e-mail forwarded to publicists by Krim, Cruise texted him back, saying, “That was a gay ass f***ing tweet . . . U don’t say sh** like that about my team the second they lose. Low.”
When Krim — who heads entertainment/charity Web site Give Back Hollywood and helped book DJ gigs for Cruise — wrote back, “Umm ok . . . Dude I was f***ing joking,” Cruise responded, “That was [bleeped]” and “Idgaf” (“I don’t give a f***]).”
Cruise and Krim were both in Indy where Cruise DJed DirecTV’s Saturday night party. [See photo above.] Krim says the Twitter tantrum ended their professional relations, while sources close to Cruise say they’d parted ways weeks ago, according to the New York Post.
On Monday, Krim e-mailed colleagues with a screen grab of Cruise’s texts, saying, “I am no longer working with Connor Cruise. In fact, I am no longer speaking with [him] . . . I refuse to be professionally (or even personally) associated with someone that engages in this sort of behavior . . . I just thought you should know who and what you’re dealing with.”
He called Cruise’s comments, “highly offensive and what I consider homophobic . . . after I jokingly tweeted about the Patriots losing.”
Krim told The Post, “I did a lot for [Connor], and he was less than respectful and appreciative . . . I made a joke, and let’s just say his reaction was not what I expected. It’s disappointing when you think someone is one way and they turn out to be another.”
Connor has since released a statement to The Post through his rep, saying, “What I texted was unacceptable. It is not a reflection of who I am and what I feel, and it certainly won’t happen again.”
