Lebron James

Don’t look for Lebron James baby momma Savannah on any reality shows. Savannah has been with Lebron for years. Even though he hasn’t married her, she will stay in her lane and keep popping out babies. She knows she is going to be taken care of.

SIDEBAR – I’m becoming damn tired of all these so-called reality series or shows.

Jimmy Kimmel Sued by Rabbi over LeBron James Joke

ABC late night host Jimmy Kimmel is being sued by an orthodox Jewish rabbi who claims his image was used without consent in a video segment that poked fun at basketball superstar LeBron James’ free agency hunt last summer, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The plaintiff in the case is Rabbi Dovid Sondik, also known as the “Flying Rabbi,” who has become a YouTube star thanks to his somewhat manic personality. According to a complaint filed in New York Supreme Court, Kimmel in August was trying to make a joke about reports that LeBron James had met with Rabbi Yishayahu Yosef Pinto for business advice. Kimmel claimed that he himself had met with Rabbi Pinto for advice and showed the audience a video of the exchange. The rabbi shown speaking to Kimmel appears to be Rabbi Sondik, not Rabbi Pinto.

Rabbi Sondik is now suing Kimmel and ABC for falsely portraying his voice, picture, and likeness as the voice, picture and likeness of Rabbi Pinto. Sondik claims he was made to “look foolish” and presented as a “laughingstock.” He claims unspecified damages for the alleged misappropriation of likeness. The lawsuit claims the Kimmel show spliced together images of the host in his car with an existing video of Rabbi Sondik that producers probably found on YouTube. In the same segment, LeBron James is shown meeting with Rabbi Pinto — a clip said to be licensed from TMZ. The plaintiff claims this demonstrates that producers essentially had a double standard — that they knew they needed to license the Rabbi Pinto video but they failed to make any attempt to license the Rabbi Sondik video. In fact, one of the causes o f action in this lawsuit is that the Kimmel show breached YouTube’s terms of use by taking the clip and failing to obtain YouTube’s written authorization. The video-sharing platform restricts its users from taking videos and broadcasting them in other mediums without permission.

Could LeBron James Become Time’s Person of the Year?

*Man, how times have changed. Up for Time Magazine’s Person of the Year are unlikely candidates: LeBron James and President Barack Obama.

The Associated Press reported Monday that the Miami Heat player seemed a bit embarrassed when he learned that he was one of the final 25 names on the list for the award.

The award will go to the person who ‘has done the most to influence the events of the year.”

“I am who I am and I think I’m in a position of my life where I’m going to get better every day,” James said after Miami wrapped up its practice Monday. “But it’s too much.”

Among the host of interesting candidates include Lady Gaga, Sarah Palin, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, Glenn Beck, Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai, and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The Chilean miners who spent more than two months underground before being rescued are also on the list.

“That’s just crazy,” James said. “What those guys did, the courage and what they stood for, I should be nowhere near that list. Nowhere near it.”

We shall see next week who the winner is.

LeBron Blames Racism for Negative Media Coverage

LeBron James is being accused of playing the race card for suggesting that his skin color was a factor in the negative media coverage surrounding his decision to join the Miami Heat.

In a CNN interview that aired Wednesday night, correspondent Soledad O’Brien asked about “The Decision,” the one-hour special on ESPN in which James announced that he would play for the Heat.

When asked if he thought race played a role some of the negative headlines it generated, James answered: “I think so at times. It’s always, you know, a race factor.”

His manager Maverick Carter added: “It definitely played a role in some of the stuff coming out of the media, things that were written for sure.”

James turned down a chance to stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers and ultimately decided to join the Heat in the oft-criticized televised special that raised $3 million for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Barkley Rips LeBron Again; Calls Miami Big 3 ‘Punks’

Charles Barkley wants Lebron James to know that he isn’t through puttin’ his foot up his (James’s) butt.

On Wednesday the renown TNT analyst and former NBA All-Star weighed in on a recent Twitter statement by LeBron James.

Barkley, said he hopes James remembers his critical comments and called a couple of James’ more significant actions this summer “punk” moves.

“I heard about LeBron’s little tweet that he’s remembering everybody who said anything bad about him,” Barkley said Thursday on ESPN Radio 103.3 FM in Dallas/Fort Worth. “And he said ‘everybody.’ Well, I want him to make sure that he puts my name on that (list).

“I thought that his little one-hour special was a punk move. I thought them dancing around on the stage was a punk move, and I thought he should’ve stayed in Cleveland. Him joining Dwyane Wade’s team was very disappointing to me.”

Barkley spoke on “Galloway and Company,” hosted by Randy Galloway, Ian Fitzsimmons and Matt Mosley. He also took the time to light into Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade and their antics at the Miami Arena when the three were introduced.

“Them jumping around on stage like punks, that wasn’t cool to me.”

Cleveland Cavalier Owner Fined $100K for Rant Against LeBron James

YES!! It is wonderful to hear that finally the NBA’s management is being penalized for their actions! The NBA’s players are usually on the receiving end of the fines, but the blatant, demeaning, disgusting, actions of Cleveland Cavaliers’ owner Dan Gilbert in writing that filthy letter he claimed was to the fans of the Cleveland Cavaliers must’ve pissed off more than just me, but also the longtime NBA Commissioner David Stern.
But the sickening part of Stern’s hefty fine of $100,000 on Gilbert, who is just shy of being worth a billion dollars, is the Cleveland fans offered to HELP PAY THE FINE! How sick is that?! But also, how telling is that of the people who don’t see anything wrong with that letter? Jesse Jackson is a close friend of the NBA and David Stern and he chimed in on the debacle with trying to translate the letter for those who may have missed some of the underlying tone of Gilbert’s rant. He also made a very important point of saying that Gilbert’s incendiary comments puts this young man’s life in danger. Jackson was quoted saying:

“He speaks as an owner of LeBron and not the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers,” Jackson said in a release from his Chicago-based civil-rights group. “His feelings of betrayal personify a slave master mentality. He sees LeBron as a runaway slave. This is an owner employee relationship — between business partners — and LeBron honored his contract.”

Gilbert, of course, does not agree with Jesse Jackson, but who cares! David Stern doesn’t agree either, but he took the letter to be deplorable enough that he slapped that ass with a hefty fine. And while Gilbert tries to be nonchalant about the fine no millionaire became a millionaire by throwing money away. No! Please believe that he’s not happy about it. This fine comes at a time when it appears that Cleveland Cavaliers will NOT come out in droves for the games, the life size decals of LeBron were cut in price by Fathead owner, Gilbert, from $99.99 to $17.41 to represent the year, 1741, the Revolutionary War traitor Benedict Arnold was born.

It is my sincerest hope and desire that a lot of you are waking up to see Gilbert’s actions as beyond sports rivalry behavior, but something of a more deeply rooted and sinister origin. Get some help Gilbert…you can afford it, right?! And to James, Bosh, and Wade…God Bless You! for charting your own destiny and being the role models that the youth, especially African American youth, need to see. President Obama has to ride the hot seat everyday in this society, you are just experiencing some of what makes him great!

Jordan Picks Sides in Kobe/LeBron Debate

In a 2009 video that has just recently surfaced, NBA legend Michael Jordan was asked to weigh in on the debate about the league’s current best player – Kobe Bryant or LeBron James?

The Web site Ball Don’t Lie uncovered the clip, which was shot last year at one of Jordan’s basketball camps – before James left Cleveland to play for the Miami Heat, and before Bryant and his Lakers won another NBA title.

Air Jordan chose Kobe.

With LeBron as Big prize, Free Agency Games Begin

The date has been circled on calendars around the NBA for years. July 1, 2010: The day LeBron James becomes a free agent.

The day the league might begin to change forever.

“I think the landscape could really shift,” former Phoenix general manager Steve Kerr said.

Shopping season starts at 12:01 a.m. EDT Thursday with James as the biggest prize, a two-time MVP just reaching his prime and one of the most sought-after players ever to hit the free agent market in any sport.

There’s so much more.

Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, James’ classmates from the 2003 draft – and future teammates in Miami if they choose. Perennial All-Stars such as Dirk Nowitzki, Amare Stoudemire and Joe Johnson.

NBA champions and Olympic gold medalists, now in search of something else for their collections: a maximum-salary contract. And teams are positioned at the starting line, just waiting for the race to start.

“We’ve never had anything like this in my time that I can remember,” New Jersey Nets president Rod Thorn said. “There have been big-time free agents before, but never this many teams that are trying to woo them. So it’s unprecedented.”

Hall of Famer: Mama LeBron/Delonte Rumors ‘True’

NBA Hall of Famer Calvin Murphy told Houston’s ESPN Radio station Wednesday night that rumors of LeBron James’ mother having sex with his Cleveland Cavaliers teammate Delonte West are “absolutely true” and “absolutely horrifying.” “It ain’t no rumor. Unfortunately, my sources in the NBA tell me that it’s absolutely true,” said Murphy, despite denials from LeBron, who has called the reports “idiotic” and “off the wall.” “My sources, and they’re legit, tell me that the only people that didn’t know it was happening was LeBron and me,” Murphy said. “And let me tell you something. Delonte West now is one of these players now that is going to get what they call the old proverbial black ball…I could not imagine me being in that situation and him still being on my team cause one of us is going to be dead and the other one is going to be in jail.” Murphy, who was once accused of sexually abusing five of his 14 daughters (who were fathered with nine different women, only one of whom he married), says James “may take time off.” He also claims “there was another party… that West wasn’t the only” man involved in the alleged affair.
