Now that he has retired from the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal is ready to tell all. In his book, Shaq Uncut: My Story, O’Neal talks about his relationship with Kobe Bryant, their intense dislike for one another and how O’Neal threatened to kill him. Shaq also talks about his days with the Miami Heat and his conflicts with Pat Riley. Shaq’s other project is his All Star Comedy Jam tour. It stops at the Keswick Theatre Friday, November 11th. It’s all over for the Shaq-ster. Shaquille O’Neal tweeted today that he’s over and done with as a basketballer after 19 seasons in the NBA.
“We did it. 19 years baby. I want to thank you very much,” he said in a video posted Twitter on Wednesday. “That’s why I’m telling YOU I’m about to retire. Love you. Talk to you soon.”
O’Neal, 39, was with six pro teams: The (Orlando) Magic, (Los Angeles) Lakers, (Miami) Heat, (Cleveland) Cavaliers, (Phoenix) Suns and the (Boston) Celtics.
O’Neal also released four rap albums and starred several movies and TV reality shows. He was also officially sworn in as a Miami Beach police officer in 2005.
On the personal side, he was married to Shaunie Nelson (“NBA Wives” creator/producer) in 2002, but they separated in 2007 … got back together, and then for divorce in 2009. The marriage produced 4 children.

Shaquille O’Neal says he won’t quit the NBA until he is 40. He’s 38 now, and his latest stop is the Boston Celtics. He will be coming off the bench and getting a $1.4 million salary. O’Neal has had a varied career with stops in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Miami, Detroit and now Boston. I gotta admit….. he’s gonna look weird wearing that Green!

For years, Shaq cheated on Shaunie, and now, he is getting his lawyers after her. In other Shaunie news, the mother of five is dating 23-year old Model Marlon Yates. Shaq is not happy about this either. He’s been leaking stories about his ex-wife. Telling anyone who’ll listen how she used to be married to one of his business partners, but dumped that husband to hook up with him. Hmmmmmmmm!
Shaq Not Handling Divorce Well: Threatening Shaunie’s New Boyfriend. It looks like Shaquille O’Neal is not taking his divorce from Shaunie O’Neal like a man and moving on. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Shaq ordered their son to deliver death threats to her new boyfriend Marion Yates. Here’s what TMZ is reporting:
Shaunie O’Neal’s lawyers just fired off a letter to Shaq’s people, claiming the bball star “interrogated” the couple’s children to tell him everything they knew about her new man … “to the point that they felt intimidated and scared of him.” Shaunie also claims Shaq told their 6-year-old son to tell her boyfriend that Shaq “is going to kill him” — and that Shaq even screamed at the kid and said, “Say it now! My daddy is going to kill you!” Shaunie’s lawyers are demanding Shaq halt “further inappropriate discussions” with their children — which is an alleged violation of the non-disparagement provision of their divorce judgment.
TMZ says they’ve asked asked Shaq’s attorney for a comment, but at EUR press time he hadn’t gotten back to them.
