Sepsis is a potentially deadly blood poisoning caused by a bacterial infection. The 73-year-old James lives in Woodcrest and was hospitalized for the same problem early last year. Oklahoma’s Republican Governor that has passed two of the strictest anti-abortion laws in the country
Oklahoma is the newest state chiming in on the abortion issue.
The governor not only signed a bill that would prevent a woman from making a decision to abort after 20 weeks, she made sure that her law would be followed by signing yet another bill stating that health insurance would not allow the procedure either.
Gov. Mary Fallin’s decision to sign these two bills into law will impact all other states’ bills being reviewed on the issue of abortion. The first bill she signed is called the “Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act” that says the child is capable of feeling pain at 20 weeks and any doctor caught performing the procedure will be brought up on felony charges. Of course there is some exclusions, but none that cover the full range of dilemmas the mother may be facing. Federal law states that an abortion can be performed up to 24 weeks. This makes Oklahoma one of the strictest anti-abortion states in the country.
The other bill puts the cherry on top of extreme by stating that health insurance plans in Oklahoma offered under the new federal health care law will prevent all “elective” abortions. So, this translates to state based insurance and President Obama. Basically, if Obama was trying to make sure that EVERYONE has insurance, that insurance–especially as it pertains to low income mothers–will be invalid for abortions.
Does it sound like there is an infringement on basic rights here? That seems illegal right? Well, whatever we might feel, she was allowed to push it through as LAW. Let’s see if the state makes a stink about this one. Don’t any of you other states get any bright ideas. But certainly if Oklahoma doesn’t make a stink other states will get on board and Republican agendas will begin to be passed at an alarming rate. What they can’t get done on the federal side, they will get done on the state side. Watch ‘em. It already seems like a peculiar rise in Republican governors in Democratic states throughout the nation. We’re going to have to check into that issue for you as well.
It’s here, Tyler Perry’s newest movie production, “Madea’s Big Happy Family.” In the midst of all the excitement, it looks like the playwright and cross-dressing actor is preparing to launch a new show, “For Better or for Worse.”
The new production will premiere on TBS and is based on the characters of couples flick “Why Did I Get Married?”
Sources reveal that the show will likely follow a group of college best friends as they deal with life’s issues: Carl and Leslie, a beautiful, happily married couple who want their friends to be as happy as they are; Brian, a TV sportscaster who has a volatile yet comedic relationship with his wife, Michelle, a hair salon owner; and Janice, a therapist married to a sharp, ambitious lawyer, Jordan, who’s trying to keep his secrets secret.
According to reports, Miss USA 2008, Crystle Stewart has already booked a part in the series, but it’s not known which part she will play
In the meantime, for those of you who thought Madea was going to disappear for a while, Perry said she’s here to stay and ain’t retiring any time soon. Sorry Spike.
“As long as people want to see it, I’ll keep going. I’ll keep doing it,” Tyler said Wednesday on “Conan.” “If people stop coming to see the character, what will happen is that old broad will die really quickly.”
He also lamented about his methods of branding, saying he may have gone overboard.
“People forget that Walt Disney was a person. His name was above the title and it’s a great example. When you’re branding yourself and building a business [you] use your name. I think I just did it a little bit too much,” Tyler said.
Chris Brown apologized for his hissy fit at “Good Morning America” earlier this week, explaining that he was surprised that his attack on Rihanna was brought up during his interview and needed to “let out steam” after getting upset.
“I didn’t physically hurt anyone; I didn’t try to hurt anyone. I just wanted to release the anger that I had inside of me because I felt like I worked so hard for this music and I love my fans and I love to be able to make positive music, but I felt like people kept just trying to take it away from me,” he told the audience at BET’s “106 & Park” on Wednesday evening.
ABC News said the 21-year-old smashed a window in his dressing room Tuesday after he was interviewed by “GMA” co-host Robin Roberts on the show. Brown was promoting his new album, “F.A.M.E.,” out this week, but Roberts touched on his beating of then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 during an interview before his scheduled performance.
“I kind of kept my composure throughout the whole interview. Although you could see me upset, I kept my composure, did my performance,” Brown said. “When I got back I just let out steam in the back.”
Brown said that the show had sent his team a list of “talking points” for the interview, and that it was his understanding that the focus would be about the album.
“As the interview proceeded, it was kind of thrown off,” he said. “I felt like they told us this so they could get us on the show to exploit me, that’s what I thought. So, I took it very, very hard.”
However, Roberts and ABC News said Brown was aware of the direction of the interview.
“Chris Brown was invited on ‘Good Morning America’ to perform and to be interviewed. There were no talking points offered,” ABC News said in a statement.
Brown offered apologies to “anybody who was startled in the office, anybody who was offended or really … disappointed in my actions, because I was disappointed in the way I acted.”
However, he noted that he didn’t harm anyone physically — and didn’t try to either.
Brown said he was now trying to focus on the positive, and asked his fans not to send any threats to Roberts.
“We don’t need that,” Brown said. “We need to take a stand and be more positive.”
For her part, Roberts was ready to turn the page on the episode as well.
“It’s time to move on … we wish him the absolute best.”
TMZ is reporting that Wendy Williams was sued by a concert promoter who claims she was paid $25,000 to appear at an Atlantic City resort, but her conduct at the event “was best described as … ungrateful.”
According to the lawsuit, Williams was scheduled to make a two-hour appearance at The Pool at Harrah’s Resort. The suit claims Williams hardly mingled with guests and left after only an hour — after complaining how she and her husband wanted to leave.
The talk show host and “Dancing With the Stars” contestant was supposed to take the mic on stage, but instead retreated to a cabana, the lawsuit states.
The suit also claims Williams “disappointed her fans who came out expecting her to host the party,” and alleges she demanded four bottles of Ace of Spades champagne and two bottles of white wine at her cabana.
The lawsuit states Williams and her husband said they wanted to be left alone while they drank.

Here are some things you are not supposed to love. Practice loving them:
Sex
Money
Yourself
Power
Glory
Fame
Success
Winning
The Adulation of Others
Being Better
Having More
Knowing How
Knowing Why
Knowing God
“THE THINGS YOU WANT MOST”
Yet I tell you this: love, love, love the things you desire – for your love of them draws them to you.
These things are the stuff of life. When you love them, you love life! When you declare that you desire them, you announce that you choose all the good that life has to offer!
So choose sex – all the sex you can get! And choose power – all the power you can muster! And choose fame – all the fame you can attain! And choose success – all the success you can achieve! And choose winning – all the winning you can experience!
Yet do not choose sex instead of love, but as a celebration of it. And do not choose power over, but power with. And do not choose fame as end in itself, but as a means to a larger end. And do not choose success as the expense of others, but as a tool with which to assist others. And do not choose winning at any cost, but winning that costs others nothing, and even brings them gain as well.
Go ahead and choose the adulation of others – but see all others as being upon which you can shower adulation, and do it!
Go ahead and choose being better – but not better than others; rather, better than you were before..
Go ahead and choose having more, but only so that you have more to give.
And yes, choose “knowing how” and “knowing why” – so that you can share all knowledge with others.
And by all means choose to KNOW GOD, in fact, CHOOSE THIS FIRST, and all else will follow.
All of your life you have been taught that it is better to give than to receive. Yet you cannot give what you do not have.
