VALUES

Values – by Lennis

Dictionary defines values as, “A principle standard or
quality regarded as worthwhile or desirable”

Our values are right because we say they are
Yet we keep changing near and far

Can we keep our word about values
We are constantly changing our arrival, and survival
We do this as individuals and societies

Changing is a product of evolution
Turn around and will become an ultrasound society

Yes these values are perfect
You should remain firm
If this is what you truly believe
This interprets who and what we are

Nothings stays the same, nor can
anything remain unchanged.

Michael Jackson vs Joe Jackson

As we mark the one year anniversary of the death of The King Of Pop, the mystery life of the Jackson kids is being revealed. Michael’s kids spend hours listening to their dad’s music, and they have no friends. They don’t go to school now, but they will be attending a private college in the fall. Prince is into movies and Paris loves music. All the children including Blanket (no one knows who his mother is) spend time with Debbie Rowe, the biological mother of Prince and Paris. Katherine Jackson revealed plans about her new book Never Can Say Goodbye. The book is being sold online at jacksonsecretvault.com. Katherine said she did the book out of love for her son, who was misunderstood. Katherine says she did not do it for money. Meanwhile, the lawyer for the Jackson estate are angry with Katherine. They accused the matriarch of the family of getting involved in business deals with shady characters. The shady and questionable characters are friends of Joe Jackson. Joe Jackson has not been able to make any money from his son’s death (he was left out of the will), so now he’s planning to file a wrongful deathsuit against Dr. Conrad Murray. Murray was Jackson’s personal physician at the time of his death. It was Murray who administered the propofol that led to Jackson’s heart failure. Papa Joe is claiming that Murray was in a strip club drinking hours before Michael’s death.

President Obama Mourns Passing of Lena Horne

President Barack Obama calls Lena Horne one of America’s “most cherished” entertainers in a statement released Monday to mark her passing. The legendary singer-actress died Sunday in New York at age 92.

Below is the president’s release in its entirety:

Michelle and I were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Lena Horne – one of our nation’s most cherished entertainers. Over the years, she warmed the hearts of countless Americans with her beautiful voice and dramatic performances on screen.

From the time her grandmother signed her up for an NAACP membership as a child, she worked tirelessly to further the cause of justice and equality. In 1940, she became the first African American performer to tour with an all white band. And while entertaining soldiers during World War II, she refused to perform for segregated audiences – a principled struggle she continued well after the troops returned home.

Michelle and I offer our condolences to all those who knew and loved Lena , and we join all Americans in appreciating the joy she brought to our lives and the progress she forged for our country.

Barkley, and Thompson psst!

Barkley, Thompson Blast Masters Head over Tiger Comments. Charles Barkley and John Thompson are fuming over comments made Wednesday at a pre-Masters press conference by Billy Payne (who runs the annual tournament in Augusta) regarding the return of Tiger Woods to his event. Here’s a portion of what Payne said:

As he ascended in our rankings of the world’s great golfers, he became an example to our kids that success is directly attributable to hard work and effort. But as he now says himself, he forgot in the process to remember that with fame and fortune comes responsibility, not invisibility. It is not simply the degree of his conduct that is so egregious here; it is the fact that he disappointed all of us, and more importantly, our kids and our grand kids. Our hero did not live up to the expectations of the role model we saw for our children. Is there a way forward? I hope yes. I think yes. But certainly his future will never again be measured only by his performance against par; but measured by the sincerity of his efforts to change. I hope he now realizes that every kid he passes on the course wants his swing, but would settle for his smile. I hope he can come to understand that life’s greatest rewards are reserved for those who bring joy to the lives of other people. We at Augusta hope and pray that our great champion will begin his new life here tomorrow in a positive, hopeful and constructive manner, but this time, with a significant difference from the past. This year, it will not be just for him, but for all of us, who believe in second chances.

Barkley, among Woods’ inner circle of close friends, was a guest on Fox Sports Radio yesterday and went off. “You got this punk ass Billy Payne who goes on TV. First of all, he ain’t told his kids to be like no Tiger Woods. Let’s quit kidding ourselves,” Barkley said. “For him to get on there and act like he’s all Uncle Tom, he’s the master on the plantation, that pissed me off. And I wish somebody would just walk up to him and punch him in his face.” Barkley wasn’t the only one who upset. Former Georgetown basketball coach John Thompson vented on his own DC radio show, spending two full segments talking about how out-of-line the comments were. He reminded his listeners that Payne has nerve chastising a player for his mistakes when Augusta National Golf Club used to discriminate against blacks and women.
