Is Usher being henpecked by his new woman? Usher, 32, has been seeing 43-year old Grace Miguel. She is his manager and girlfriend. Miguel has shaken up his staff and fired many of his workers, including his longtime agent. Usher has been known for mixing business with pleasure for years. He married his stylist, Tameka Foster, had two children and then dumped her. Word has it Usher is also estranged from his children. He supports them financially, but he never sees them.
Singer Etta James is not doing well, and her family is split over her money. Her husband, Artis Mills, is contesting the power of attorney given to her son, Donto James. In a recent court session, Mills was granted $60,000 of James savings to help with her medical care. Donto James has asked for a third party to oversee the spending of that money. Etta James, 72, is suffering from leukemia and dementia. The legendary singer is known for the hits Something’s Got A Hold On Me, All I Do Is Cry, Stop The Wedding and, her breakthrough, At Last.
Usher has been ordered to rest. Usher has had to cancel dates on his European tour. Usher took ill, and his reps say he is suffering from an upper respiratory infection. At a recent show, Usher was on the stage crying, staggering and he appeared out of it. Hopefully, he will listen to doctor’s orders.
Director Spike Lee is moving ahead with his plans to do a movie about the life James Brown. Lee has been shopping around a proposal for a bio-pic, and word has it Usher is being tapped to play The Godfather Of Soul.
What’s up with Usher’s girlfriend Grace Miguel? Usher’s ex-wife Tameka is upset about his latest relationship. Apparently, Miguel used to be close friends with Tameka, and now Miguel has got Tameka’s man. Tameka is livid. She left her husband and three kids to be with Usher. She had two kids by Usher and almost died having plastic surgery to please him, but it wasn’t enough to save her marriage. Miguel has quite a past. The former record executive lost a ton of weight, remade herself, left her husband and now she’s with Usher. Usher knows how to make a woman leave her husband. Hmmmmmmmmmm! Usher’s ex-wife isn’t the only person upset with him. Producer Jermaine Dupri feels Usher disrespected him by not including him on his latest project. Jermaine feels he gave Usher his greatest musical success with the Confessions album, and Usher won’t admit it.

Usher has fired his mother….. again! The long awaited album, Raymond vs. Raymond, has been delayed because the record company wants Usher to have a manager. This is the second time that Usher has fired his mother. The first time Usher fired his mom as his manager, it was when he was married to his first wife Tameka. Usher’s mom, Johnetta Patton, didn’t like Tameka, and it caused a major rift in his relationship with his mom. Johnetta sees his new love, Record Exec Grace Miguel, as a threat once again. She felt Miguel had too much say in the recording of his latest CD. So far, three singles have been released off the project to a lukewarm response. The relationship with Usher and his mom is very strange because she doesn’t like any woman in his life, but, every time Usher breaks away from his mom, his career suffers.
Who robbed Usher? The superstar says he was robbed of a million dollars worth of goodies that were stolen from his SUV. Usher says he was holiday shopping when someone broke into his car and stole jewelry, furs, clothing and laptops. Who carries this kind of stuff in their cars? Usher says he did have insurance.
